RHC Lawrence-Strom has confirmed that it will enter the Pirelli World Challenge GTS SprintX ranks this year, with a single-car BMW M4 GT4 entry for Daren Jorgensen and Cameron Lawrence.
It comes on the heels of a fourth place class finish in last month’s Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour.
The team, in association with GMG Racing, also took part in January’s IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenges season-opener at Daytona, in an Audi R8 LMS GT4.
“Pirelli World Challenge has established a great platform for manufacturers, sponsors and teams,” said Jorgensen.
“BMW has developed a competitive car with the M4 GT4, and we’ve been able to develop both of our M4 GT4s, both the one in Australia and our car in the States, through international competition and testing this year.”
It will mark Lawrence’s PWC debut, in an effort supported by Strom Motorsports and Classic BMW.
“Both Daren and I have become very familiar with the M4 GT4 platform through testing and competition at the Bathurst 12 Hour,” he said.
“With the support of Strom Motorsports and Classic BMW, we’re certain we’ll have a competitive car right out of the trailer, and I’m looking forward to our first race at Circuit of the Americas.”
